Saving The Basement...

from the next high water.
Every job needs a boss and Andrew did well.
The grade had to be lowered to allow the water
to run down the hill instead of into the basement.
Hubby works magic with his bucket.
The saving slope is reestablished
and ready for the next big rain.

I'll bet Andrew was a great help. Good idea sloping away from the basement. I hope you don't get that kind of rain again for a long while.

You know, women like to play too - why are all the great toys for guys?
I have toys and love em every bit as my neighbourhood guys love theirs. Andrew is doing a great job as sign man and good to get that down hill path from the basement. You've got beautiful looking earth there. Have a great day. Hi to Marcy, TM, A n Z

Water in the basement is no fun.

Tractor Man and Andrew saved the day . . . Pro active is better than water in the basement any day!

A flooded basement is never a good thing! Glad the guys were able to get the slope going in a downward manner.

What a great thing to do. I don't know what we would do without our Kubota. At least you will not get flooded out next time it rains like it has been raining at your house. :)

Wish we had a basement to protect!
Are you going to put gravel or something down so your new slope doesn't give you slippery one?

Have a good evening, Gail. :-)

Tractor Man and Andrew making a difference with leveling the ground outside the basement to prevent the rain from running inside is a real good thing.
Will you be placing rock in the area?

And just think of all those little muddy paw prints you are going to see !!!!!!!
After each heavy rain we have to do some grading in our back yard and I see lots of those little muddy paw prints around here !

I hope you don't get a 'big' rain - even with the new, improved slope!
Mr. Dreamy has been out playing with his bucket and blade trying to direct future moisture away from a 'lake' that formed by our garage. He loves it too!
