Shhhhhh For Poetry Jam

Walking creek side
Laughter fell out
'Cause it was that kinda day
We found something
That belongs underground
Trying to spell
The Yellow Jackets
Made an 'S'
Before one rebel
Sparing us
Attacked poor Lil
Sad for the dog
We ran with no laughter
"No one dared
Disturb the Sound of Silence"

My entry for Poetry Jam writing prompt today.  Inspired by them and the yellow jackets.  Join the fun.

Yellow jackets do NOT HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR - however, they will strike for any reason - poor Lil, hope it wasn't too bad and great photo Gail - super photo. HiYa to ALL :)

poor lizzy, if this was here i would get Bob to burn it up... i make him tear down or burn up every single nest that appears...daddy used to burn hornet nest in KY that is how i know about burning them... not sure i would have gotten close enough to take this shot....

Darn those yellow jackets ~~ even if they do know how to spell. I enjoyed this, Gail.

That is quite a picture, by the way. Really one should not mess with those yellow jackets!! How very sad for the dog. OUCH!

Silence is a good thing and sometimes very necessary. Well done
