The Back Forty and Weekly News...

Marcy and I ate out on doctor day.
Our nephew, Toni, met us at the doctor's office.
Stormi, Toni's daughter joined Aunt Marcy (cancer free), Toni and me for lunch.
Zander, my youngest grandson, graduated Kindergarten the 22nd. He's headed to Big School for Big Kids.

Hubby found me an amazing rock and delivered it to my water/rock garden.  That guy knows the way to my heart!

Bonnie, the pit bull and Sir Loin, the meat giver, have become fast friends.  They are now exchanging licks! They say never name an animal you are going to eat but, alas, we did.  Marcy carries him fresh clover and we all pet this bull calf.  I will remember to thank Sir Loin for his gift to us when I bite into that first meat.

My other sister, Beverly, and I keep on working every day at the shop. The farm keeps us busy, too.   I wondered what happened to retirement??

Liked the RECAP . . . fun to see some family pics, kindergarten graduate and all.

Please inform Marcy to turn the camera toward the POET one of these days!

retirement doesn't mean doing nothing. it just means not doing that. besides doing nothing is boring.

Your life seems to have settled down to a more familiar roar, although I won't call it dull. I am glad to hear that Marcy is cancer free. That must be a great relief to her and all of you, to say the least. And I remember my own son graduating from kindergarten and what a big deal that was for him. I would do anything to go back in time and repeat that experience.

Sir Loin, who is well loved, ought to make tender meat to eat that should taste great. That reminds me that I haven't had a pot roast in ages. I hope Sir Loin is kindly slaughtered. At least he is not a product of the bio-industry and raised on your own farm as is how it should be.

Hallelujah on the cancer free zone for Marcy. Great news.
Great catching up with the goings on of your family. Looks like a good place to have a mini family reunion.
Rocks are always a great gift. Smooth move on Hubby's part. You know sometimes our old guys really get how to gives us a grin.
Have a great weekend and give Marcy a high five for me. xoxo Oma Linda

Marcy cancer free is a blessing and proof of miracles.
Sir Loin is the way it should be done, I agree.

Hope you're having fun this weekend. I'll be thinking of you while I'm painting!

Great news from the doctor!

I like seeing the family photos. It makes everyone more 'real'. Our retirement is a lot like yours....very busy....some of the time.

So happy to hear the good news for Marcy - sending a huge hug to you kiddo - I love that photo of Marcy, Toni and Stormi (love that name) and Zander graduating kindergarten and movin on up to Big School - March looks read good. I am so happy.
I think Bonnie is going to miss Sir Loin - we always named the animals on my Uncle's farm and that first bite of fresh meat was most thankful in "Name", you betcha. Always thankful to have the animals, treat em with love and respect and thank them when they go on your table. Its the way my Dad always did it. I have been so busy doing "stuff" outside and finally just have to clean the hard top trailer today on inside - finally got to tackle that after all other chores done. Have a wonderful day, hugz to Marcy n tractor dreams to TM n I guess rocky dreams to you. he,he Congrats on new rock addition.
