Shooting From The Hip

Meaning to speak quickly without thinking. She has a tendency to shoot from the hip, no problem. We will see!

I sorta have a system when I create a post.  Nothing formal but I've some idea which direction I want to go.  Today I don't so I'm just going to type and see what falls onto this page, thus I am "shooting from the hip".

Not going to give weather much more than a nod since we know spring is close.  No use in me whining about a little cold when many people are buried under FEET of snow.  I am grateful for this dreary cold day that has snow "hanging on for the next one" as Granny used to say.

I will say I've not been ambitious lately.  Where normally I would be doing early spring cleaning in anticipation of the day I could finally return to the outdoors, I've done little.  The sad thing is it doesn't really bother me.  This is a first for one who measures her worth by her work.  I am sorely lacking.

Get that depressing crap outta the way and see where my happy place is...

FOUND IT!  It was inside me all this time.  Happy Monday.

Hey, if it doesn't bother you, let it slide. Go curl up with a book or something.

February was a dreary month to get through. Hopefully March will be better. I lost my motivation for spring cleaning after I finished the kitchen...I am waiting for something not sure what:)

oh no, this means i am in trouble, i have not been bothered by lack of cleaning since i retired. before it bothered me. glad you found your happy place. i know how hard that is when trapped indoors and also with being the caregiver/childsitter at the same time

Winter is always a miserable time (most of the time). I don't even want to move 5 feet from the heating at the moment.

I can certainly identify! But, yes, it is in there! We only need to reach and grasp it!

Gail, so funny. I think the lack of interest in doing anything is from having so many days of ho-hum weather with no sunshine. Makes you want to sleep!

Start measuring your worth by what you enjoy, Gail. And what pleasure or happiness you bring others.
*hugs* ♥

It makes me happy that I am not the only one who feels this way. Have things to straighten up...but have little mojo to get them done...maybe when spring starts so will I.

There you go, shoot from the hip and I guess you did find some measure in that. Yep, we have had more storms, and lost power for a bit, but are fine. Had 15 inches of ice taken off part of the roof with two, yes I said two, ICE DAMS , that had built up from previous storms. I have never had ice dams on the roof......EVER. Weirdest, wackiest weather to grace us in some time( like 40 yrs or so). Not complaining........much. ha,ha The sun came out yesterday and everything is melting double time - like I said - we go from winter to summer.....spring rarely happens, except for the trees. We go from -30 or 40 to high 70's and UP. I'll take that after this last storm. You all have a nice snug in and you'll probably be planting by next week. ha,ha lol Hugz to M.

Nice job of digging through the dismal to find the shine.
Hang in there--at least one more storm on the way this week.
I always feel that if it is too cold to wash windows, spring cleaning can wait.
