a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Dreaming

Through The Looking Glass
Slippers into The Dome
Wishing they were ruby
(There's no place like home)

If I had The Ruby Ring
I'd twist my wish into play
Back through the wardrobe
To visit Narnia today

"Between the Dawn of Faerie
And the Dominion of Men"
I keep a watch for Moby Dick
And my Regulator "friends"

In my dreams I control
The direction and the start
In my dreams the tin man
Always had a heart

Aslan rules in Mordar
Along with Gandalf The Gray
My lion is filled with courage
And the bad guys stay away

Ole Yeller never dies
Lassie always saves the day
On my Prince Edward Island
Matthew lives today
Blanket Moss growing in water.  Staying Weird for Imaginary Garden With Real Toads  and letting Josie know at Two Shoes In Texas that there is order in my chaos.

Oh you lucky, living in the Maritimes! I LOVE - seriously love - this poem, especially "in my dreams the tin man always had a heart." In my dreams too but dreams sometimes can be misinformed or just plain wishful thinking, LOL. LOVE this poem!

my dreams are really weird and nothing like this.. just ODD weird and nothing that they are linked to... the only person i recognize in your dream is old yeller and Lassie... canines i mean, not person... I cried in both those movies.

Well done, my friend. I really like this poem, and can wholeheartedly relate to it. Yes, it all is as it should be in my dreams.

A day like this we should be allowed to make our own tales. And Aslan is not a tame lion.

Just beautiful, Gail! How nice it was to have you join us! I so agree that there exists a place within our hearts and minds where life is orderly, good triumphs and evil never rules the day. A place where all is well and good, and we have time for resting and laughter and letting mud squish between our toes! Alas, the reality we awaken to is often very different, but I like to think that maybe both exists in some more eternal plane. XOXO

Awesome!! You wrote about all of my friends. I never thought about it but I would love to know Matthew will always live.
Just perfect.

Weird dreams are fun. You wrote of them very nicely. I enjoy mine but most I can't remember for very long.
