a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Beware!

The taxman cometh
Beware his premise of help
Fearful of prison system
Inevitable mail opened and kept

The heat could be worn
The tension sliced
The story ended
With sovereign advice

This was written for a prompt at Imaginary Garden With Real Toads.  The challenge was to use three of the twelve words given.  I used twelve.
Accept the challenge and read the creations of others.

You certainly strike to the heart of one's fears of the taxman. Your header photos are remarkable. Lovely to see your view of the world.

Interesting. My sister-and-brother-in-laws both worked for The Taxman. Believe me, they have a deep respect there, too.
