Broken Arrow has to be almost on me. I know, I know, keep them out of my personal space...but I can't do it. The horses are as spoiled as every other animal around here.
Papa and Jake had to join me, they were just as curious as the horses. I believe in this picture Jake is saying, let me down, Papa!
I think horse loving is already in Jake's blood. I guess it did not hurt, he first rode a horse while still in diapers.
We didn't ride today. It would have been a perfect day, but sometimes, work comes before pleasure. In fact, that happens a lot on a farm, so you take your pleasures where you find them and keep on working. It is the perfect lifestyle for me.

What a great day. I think Jake is a natural, too. :)
Oh Gail such beautiful horses you have, yeah Jake sure is a natural, I know this makes you very happy.
Lots of hugs for your Monday
Beautiful horses ! I do soo envey you .I so miss the barn and horse life, but at least I still live in the country. Hubby said to me one day when I said I want to get back into the horse world , we will dont you worry he said he loves them to. He is a doer and has always made things happen for me, so with a bit of luck one day soon we both will be back into the horse world ! Have a great day !
Actually, it sounds like a perfect day. I wish every day could be Sunday.
Some day I'd like to fly wipe a horse to. It sounds like a good job to do.
Most certainly a perfect day on the farm. I was just a tad (achin' all over) from our cattle workin' day Saturday but we got-'er-done!!!
We partied after services, Miss Sarah Grace turned five! We always have a blast when we get together.
You have yet another beautiful day. I cannot believe this weather! :o)
Love this post Gail...
Anyday is a good day if you can wrap your arms around the big warm neck of a horse! I can feel it and smell it right now :)
Ohhhh....I wish I could be there to help! I gave up my last horse this past spring and I am so sad to be 'horseless'. My own son rode his first when he was barely a year old. I would put him in the saddle in front of me and we would ride for hours. Nothing better in life than that, for sure!
I don't think I was meant to be a farmer, but it seems I'm always doing some type of farm work...how does that work???
