Drying Her Wings

Freshly emerged
from this tiny chrysalis,
she patiently waited as her wings air-dried for flight.

It's amazing isn't it how those big butterflies emerge from those small shells unfolding and pumping up their wings.

With the next season approaching, the butterflys are one of the things I hate to leave. I just love how they float around the shrubs and flowers. They are lovely.
