I missed Andrew's encore performance at the Music of the Mountains theatre. Apparently, I missed a lot but Andrew was not upset at all. He jammed with the Melodie Clemmons band before the performance. A group of cheer leaders became his groupies and he was as happy as a pig in a mud hole.
Shown here is a page from Avenues, A Magazine of the Ozarks, about Andrew's first performance. And I quote, "Andrew Williams, the 14-year-old blues guitarist who won Melbourne's Student Talent contest, played a couple of blazing numbers. It was his first time to ever play with a band, but he came through like an experienced pro." First time, he played AC/DC and a blues number. Second, he played one of his own songs and, of course, AC/DC.
Since this performance, he has played a birthday party as a gift, won the Izard County Fair Talent Show in his division, has been invited to play at a local customer appreciation day, and to compete in a Hardy, Arkansas Talent contest...when he's not playing football and going to school.
My middle grand son, Jake, has been gifted a horse he has named Johnny. I have promised to come see Johnny and so I shall today. I am sure I will have many pictures to share after that visit!
I am thinking, what have I missed telling? The ice maker's still working, to hubby's and to all our delight. We are uptown now...no more dumping ice trays. No more trying to find out who did not fill them! I may be loosing my mind because many things happen around here that no one lays claim to doing. I guess, I must be doing it in my sleep...right!
We got some glorious rain last night. As the thunder rumbled and the lightning flashed, I realized why every bone in my body was aching...I can tell the weather now, and for that I am grateful. Might as well be, not a whole lot I can do to change it.
It has been a joy catching up on all my comments. Thank you and remember if you would like to converse, leave your email, I can not reply to No Reply Comment Blogger...and I do like to reply! Have a wonderful Sunday.

I hope you are feeling better today, Gail. Lots of things going on in your world. Thanks for the update and how proud you must be of Andrew. :)
Sorry you were sick, but it was great hearing your update.
And Andrew continues to shine!
=)
Sorry to hear that you were ill !
You must be so very proud of Andrew heck I am and I dont even know the lad! Your middle grandson got a horse lucky kid ! As for the body achs when its going to rain , Girl I have had that for years lol I am the weather person here lol ! Great post, have a wonderful day !
Yeah for Andrew!
Blog posting should be low on the priority list. The real live people and animals should come forst, after yourself! You have to be first because you have to take care of who is in your real world.
I, too, slept most of yesterday.
Don't know who Andrew is but pretty cool!
And a new horse for your grandson. He will now know all about "grace, beauty, spirit and fire!"
Enjoy your wit and spirit!
There's a horrible flu bug going around our family also. Happy your getting well and glad the family filled you in on what you missed. I think Andrew is proving America's got talent. I know you are so proud. I love the blues. You know, I'm all about the horses, so really excited for Jake. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Oh I hope you are feeling better Congrats to Andrew that sounds like a wonderful concert. Take care. I love American pickers. :) B
I'm sure Andrew was thrilled with his cheerleader groupies! Icing on the cake, yes? LOL
When Hubs set up our icemaker we ended up having to replaced all the floors because it had a leak. I did tell everyone that we got our floors thanks to divine intervention! Insurance did pay for it. And I love these floors. Which is why the icemaker has not been hooked back up since 2002.
Hey, maybe you could get a new job as a weather forecaster! I bet you'd be more spot on than the ones we have here! :)
Thanks Gail........You will never know how much I needed that comment this morning. kt
Hooray for Andrew. All of that notoriety is exciting. I bet he is tickled pink - but, as a young guy, he probably is pretty casual about that!!
Sorry you were down and out. That happened to me a few days ago, too. Maybe it was the alignment of the stars, sun and moon or something like that! The potty and I formed an intimate relationship and I had the energy of a slug!
Am I a 'No Reply Comment Blogger'?? I looked through settings and couldn't find anything about it - I'm not sure what other people see. It I am, let me know through my blog or by email at iteach at cpride dot net. Thanks.
Have a refreshing and energizing Sunday. It IS Sunday, isn't it?!!
How very exciting for your Andrew. He is a talented kid and now the spotlight and cheerleaders....sheesh, life is good huh?
Sorry you were ill. I hate being down but sometimes your body is telling you....hey slow down, okay if you won't, I'll make ya. And what's wrong with a marathon of Pickers????? fun stuff.
A horse for the other grandson must be thrilling for he and Johnny both.
I always love your comments to my comments...you are so much fun and so down to earth.
Oma Linda
Tons of ice..just waiting for you. I remember our first ice maker..so wonderful. Soon there will be lots of free ice out there all over your yard and driveway. :) I'm being a smart aleck!
Congratulations to your grandson! He is definitely on his way. With a grandma like you, how could he miss. You sound SO proud, Gail! As well you should be!
I'm sorry you were ill. Not fun being tied to the potty! How well I understand!
Hugs to you, my friend!
Mona
Catching on some of your posts I've missed..and I just wanted to say that the YOU I've come to know..is one hell of a friend and I count myself lucky to have you in my life!
First off...I'm pretty sure it's okay for you to miss a post now and then...lol! We won't hold it against you. =)
Congrats! to Andrew on his latest accomplishment! I know how proud you all are of him!
Isn't the ice maker a glorious thing!! Ice on demand...saves many an argument on who didn't fill the ice trays...lol!
I hope you are feeling better today! Happy Sunday to you!
I did a lot of that the last few days, too. Ugh.
Hope you're feeling better!
You make me want an ice maker on the farm fridge now...
Congratulations to Andrew! That's fantastic!
Congratulations to Jake, too. What a lucky boy. :)
You all have a great week!
WOWEE woman...I have been having way too much summer fun(not unhappy about that either)..look at all I have missed!! Andrew sounds to be having the time of his life..I am so happy for him and his talented ride to fame. That is very cool.
Sorry that you missed a concert though-you must have caught that nasty stay down bug. I had it earlier in the spring..zapped and ach-ey. He knows your heart was with.
And a horse for Jake..cool! You will have to start riding again yourself Gail..there is nothing like riding with family, nature watching from horseback...I love it!
WE LOVE American Pickers! I learned the surefire way to win Rock/Paper/Scissors- from watching that show!
Do you know how to win??
Andrew is going to be a great blues guitarist and I'm going to say, "I knew him back then." Well, in a way I feel that I do. I know by now that you're recuperated from your illness. and about Jake's horse. I'm glad the ice maker is working out well. What a great feature to have. I'm jealous.
Andrew sounds like a great talent and I am jealous of Jake! I LOVE horses! I'm sure he will have hours of joy with it.
Glad the ice is still making! Aren't they wonderful!!!!!
Gail I just love reading your posts - I feel like I'm just sittin' right there in the room with you. Sorry about the tummy upset - some days it just hits that way. My husband loves the Pickers tv show, me not so much. I'm up in Bella Vista visiting a friend and it's just as hot here as it is at home but it's nice to see her and my sister, who met me here. blessings, marlene
