Ki's Herding Adventure

The cows hear the tractor and think, food!
Hubby was going to remove a tree from the fence.
I called Ki to when the herd began to gather.
Hubby asked her to work.
Ki took that to mean put in them a circle,
so she began to work, circling,
No cow too big,
no bovine fast enough to catch her.
She worked and she was too fast for the cows.
Oops, one's trying to get away.
Ki kept the pulling the circle tighter and tighter.
Not bad for an untrained mutt!
Good girl!

Bless her little heart! She's really working hard. We have a little Jack Russel/Border Collie mix that loves to herd things. When she wants either of us to go to a certain room she'll even try to herd us. lol

That pup is truly amazing! How does she do it? Instinct? Genius? Give her a scratch behind the ears for me!

Good Girl! Give her a treat. And why is it cows know the sound of vehicles? My brothers cows know the sound of his truck. :)

Wow! Impressive! How strong those instincts must be! I'd love to see our Tucker with cows... but I'm afraid we'd never get him back! He'd circle and circle and circle!!

Good for Ki! Tyke tries to herd me to the kitchen and he especially watches my feet to make sure I go in the right direction.

Oh my goodness - she IS special isn't she? Love the photo of her running so fast her legs criss-crossed.

Amazing! She is quite the fast learner! The one photo is scary where it looks as if that cow is going to charge right at her!

Amazing that she knew what to do, both what your husband asked of her and that she could implement it.

She has the natural instinct to herd and (circle) gather! Good for Ki! A little work and she will have it down to a science in no time at all!
