(NOT!)
I inform you of a wonderful terrible family disaster.
The red paper wasp family,
residing in the down spout,
is now deceased.
They were encased by a wonderful terrible
expanding poisonous mass of foam.
Although many RPW members tried to escape,
the poison was too great to overcome.
Left to celebrate mourn their passing is me.
They are survived, regrettably
by other paper wasps,
but none in close proximity to my work area.
They will be safe...for now.

I'm glad you were able to get rid of them. That's scary to have so many there with you being allergic to their sting. Good job Gail.
LOL, I'll send flowers (NOT)! BTW, I LOVE that downspot. Is it something I could get on-line?

Love the down spout. We don't have so many this year, just too dry and the wrens have pretty much taken care of the ones we did have.
Thanks for the funny.....what a great way to start my day....
Now that's the way to get rid of those pesky wasps!! Very clever indeed!
Good work!
=D
And I awaken today to find that once again, all is well in the world.
As a young girl of seven, a wasp became tangled in my long hair as I slept. It stung my neck repeatedly and awakened me. I recall the screaming, the pain and the swelling. It was awful.
Since then, I've had an overwhelming desire to keep my hair short, and I can only think the wasp is to blame.
Ooops....sorry, I just can't feel any sympathy. lol!
But that downspout is the coolest thing ever!

Glad to hear you were able to get rid of those wasps!
I too mourn for that family of wasps. It sure was a sad day, wasn't it? Maybe that's why I'm in such a funk.

I was going to say ..it snowed..or got frosty lookin there? Alas it is only you taking care of the Wasps..I don't blame you..they should have built their home elsewhere..the bums:(
Holy crap you scared me! That first photo, at first glance, looked like a bone and I thought, uh-oh, who broke WHAT now, AT THE FARM?
Ha, ha
Glad it's only measly old wasps that are dead as doornails now.
