we did all the meat grinding by hand.
Yes, that is a smile!
It would have taken an hour to grind this by hand.
Even Andrew helped.
Around here, if you want jerky
you have to work for it.
A wonderful toy for the guys.

The dogs are really enjoying themselves some venison too.
Love the grinder! My own hubby has one and several other toys such as smokers, slicers, and sausage stuffers. After all the farmer with the most toys wins : )
i don't eat meat and have never ground any, but daddy did and would have loved this toy, he had one that clamped on the table and he had to turn it. but he found if he let me see it i would not eat it.
We ground ours by hand, too.. this looks like a cool toy... but YOW that last picture!

Would you believe I still have the old metal one that you bolt to your counter? Yep..a gift from my mother many years ago. Do I use it? No..I just have the butcher do it if needed. :) However can't think of many men who cook or make their own Jerky, that would LOVE one of those. Looks like it puts out a lot of meat.
That is great! My grandmother had one of the old bolt to the counter grinders. I keep on the lookout for one that isn't all rusted and having parts missing.
I've never made jerky from ground meat. Maybe I should try that sometime. :o)

WOW, that's quite the toy Gail - I could have used one in the olde days when I also ground everything by hand in that big ole hand grinder. Nice Pics of the boys and everyone has a treat, including the dogs. Nice shot with the deer head.
My dad used to have a meat grinder. It was cool!
