a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

I Paint...

From Jack Horner's Plum
To Cyber Green
To Steel Gray to Satin Black
Going back to touch up
Here and there
With well worn bristles
I find places I missed
Or had forgotten
My hands stay forever colored
I wear the same pants
To paint
And the rainbow of colors shout
As the pants make
Crinkly sounds when I walk
I go to town
Wearing these pants
So people know
I paint
And don't
Just have dirty hands.

i bet they are the coolest pants....i used to paint quite a bit and loved how the paint pants looked after a period of time....art themselves....

I like that the paints make a statement as to who you are. I wish I could wear something that states what I am.....then maybe I'd know what I want to be when I grow up.

Loved this!

That was supposed to say "pants".

I love this! It made me smile!
I used to have multi-colored hands from using the overhead projector with my students. It was sometimes embarrassing to have 'dirty' hands! I wish I had had your pants!!

good idea on the painted pants

Painters hands and painters pants show us the colour of the rainbows in your heart, just bursting to get out and splashed on canvas, so we can all appreciate the most natural gift given to you on the day you entered our atmosphere. lol

Now see, I had never thought of that.
I have a pair of jeans, and sadly more than one shirt, that I wear for painting.

But I never thought about wearing them into town. Now why would I be afraid to let people see that I can't keep the paint on the wall? Haha!
