I just like the way that sounds. I am not DIY program material but I'm getting better every day. I know you are tired of me tooting my own horn but, by golly, I've done good. Here is where we were before I started today. Way too many wires and way too much junk.

Linda mentioned using an old water hose to contain the tangle of too many wires. I cut a small length and slit it end to end. Much easier than trying to run the wires through the hose. After covering the wires the water hose just popped back into place.
I painted the water hose the same color as the wall and did some touch up work where I had drilled too many holes trying to hang all these things. Hint: When attaching electronics to wall, place a piece of paper on the back of equipment and mark the screw or nail holes. Hold paper to wall, screw or nail the marks on the paper, remove paper, hang thingy. So easy!!!
Yep, that's a shelf. This is the broken side rail to Andrew's black bed. Hubby helped me drill holes into the heavy metal and attached my painted shelf brackets. I have a plan here and I swear they are getting better. Remember that thing I built to hold pens, glasses etc. I called it a prototype I believe. Well, it's going back to the drawing board. I still have too many wires!!!
Ta daaaa! My sneaky way to hide the wires. If you squint you can't see the hose and the other wires are covered by the material...and the mess is gone. Well, not gone but it is much neater.

This is the entry into the plum room that I finished a little while ago. Remember, it looks pink.

Andrew loves it and I'm sure Jake will, too.
Next week maybe I will bore you with what I'm doing to my craft room!

You want to see wires? You should see hidden behind my desk and computer tower. I have a phone, two computers, a printer plugged into a surge protector. Talk about a maze?
I am impressed with your re-decorating...I can't seem to get motivated.

The idea with using an old hose is a great idea. So many people buy the flexible hose from an electronics store and spend a fortune. Little do they know they already have the stuff they need from they yard or garage.

I don't know...If you ask me, you look really talented in the DIY department. It's all nicely done and I'm impressed by what you've accomplished.

There is no stopping you once you get started. I know how good it must feel to stand back an look at it when it is done.

I love the downhome country feel of your rooms! Oh my Lord, is that the kitchen underwraps in that last photo? You clearly have your work cut out for you... have fun! :-)
