Treasures Found

Who said wall paper sample books have no use?
Blue enamel bed pan and a gun holster
Red neck potty chair...take lid off and use for dining room chair or remove linoleum and slide a bucket underneath for an instant portable potty.
washboard
My personal favorite...a box of rocks.
I come by my love of rocks naturally.
Wall art from cut metal cans, wire and a button
Cast iron, copper and the politically incorrect
cowboys and Indians with an astronaut
A tiny hand carved cage for something
includes a nest box and a ceramic water container
Who the heck is this??
If you know, please tell me.
That's all the news I have today.
Update on more treasures next week
if the Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise.

Interesting selection of items! Old portraits are always interesting...we have a few of our ancestors; they look so stern!

That is one angry dude in the painting.
Cowboys and astronauts? Maybe they were anticipating Cowboys and Aliens?

What wonderful treasures! I think they are fantastic. You have found a treasure trove.
I saw today on a website that the stove in that house, runs between 2,000 to 10,000 depending on if it works. Isn't that incredible? Have a wonderful time walking down memory lane. It hurts a bit doesn't it?

Gail,

Bulldog Man looked at the picture of the man, he states it looks like Harry Houdini.

What wonderful treasures! Intrigued by the little wooden cage. Maybe it held a pet chicken or dinner at one time. The photo of that man...a tad creepy!

I would say the classic photo is Ludwig Van Beethoven. I am quite sure it is him. He carried on composing and his music was all that more amazing because he wrote so much of it when he was almost or totally deaf. At the end of the premiere of the Ninth Symphony, he had to be turned around to see the ovation he could not hear. You would have enjoyed his love for long walks in the woods. His woodland hikes inspired some of his most famous work. You probably remember "Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band had a No.1 hit with "A fifth of Beethoven in 1976, turning the opening of Beethoven's Fifth into eventually "Fever" music when the track was used in Saturday Night Fever. How about that and I love all your treasures. lol to family n hugz to Marcy.
