We Wondered Who...

this frowning man was.  Lilly in Canada has identified him for me.  He is a mystery man no more.
This is Ludwig Van Beethoven Walk On A Windy Day by H. Wulff.

Now you know as much as I do.  I never heard a family story about it.  It''s very old but it is a print in a glass covered frame. It held a place of honor in the old house.  Maybe because the family loved music and it looked good with the Victrola under it.  We will never know.

Thanks, Lilly!

I had an old print of my grandmother's and it had a tiny hole in it. I decided to look and sure enough- there was a seriously old photograph behind it of (I think) my third great grandparents! You just never know why folks hang on to pictures like that.

I wonder if it's worth anything?

I think you need to take the original on the antique road show!

I am missing some of my posts, because of blogger, so I have installed Bloglovin to catch up. I am happy to have been able to help, not to mention Beethoven's 5th is my most fav. I love classical music too, along with all the rest and now I include Andrew's music - I loved the video of him playing in the store. Cheers Gail
