October...

October weeps for summer
Rents her colorful veil
Does Summer die
When Autumn comes
It’s hard to tell

Wrap her quilt around you
Of oranges yellows and red
October embraces you
From your toes
To your head

If Spring is a child
Summer is youth
October is
Grandmother’s love
Wrapping you in truth.

I love how this piece makes me feel Gail--I wish we were feeling fall but summer is still in full swing--

This has a very autumnal feel to it, earthy and true.

Such lovely, comforting, thought provoking words. Now, how do I get rid of this stupid summer heat?

Sounds like fall is there where you are.
Hoping it finds us soon.

Lovely Gail. Now I'm thinking of my comfortable grandma. I hope you have a good October on the farm.

Yep, well Mother Nature has stripped us of all er warm days and its cold my friend. Frost, heavy frost in mornings and we must wear jackets now and warmer socks. No snow yet, but its just around the corner. Oh, dear summer, why did you leave us so soon.....anyway, I'm riding my motorbike till the first snowfall.....and yes, I have my long underwear on. ha,ha
