a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

No More Lollygagging

Though the weather doesn't suit me I have to work.  That's a self-appointed half to not a required have to. It was only 94F when I came in.  I am ashamed.

I have bored you with all my tree clipping, snake finding, brush pile building for weeks.  I know you are tired of it but so am I.  The last few feet remain in my yard and then on to Marcy's outbuildings, flowerbeds, fence clearing, and on and on.
Before
during as Lil keeps her snake eyes on
and after.
Another six feet on the side that faces the road and I will be through!  Back where I began.  As badly as we need rain I am glad I was able to complete all this making it easier to mow closely with less trimming.  Peeking around the corner it doesn't look too bad.  Will knock that out in no time but there are two stumps on this side that are barring all attempts at elimination.

Afterword:  Finished, done, complete, wrapped up in this yard...On to the next.

Good morning, you are brave. It is too hot to be working outside. I am glad you have your protector Lil there with her snake eyes on. Stay cool, have a happy day!

Looks good! Just don't pass out from the heat and humidity.

Might I suggest you let the COLD kill the rest of the undergrowth? as in snow and ice and real COLD... you have done an enormous amount of work and Lil looks like she loves weeds and tall grass.... sit a flower pot on the stumps, we did

Good job!

It's been super hot here, too. Uncharacteristically so.
I confess that I am more than ready for fall.

You are an ever moving being. I had to give in and give up after the garage clean out and following garage sale. My back just told me how old I am. I usually just keep on keeping on (like someone I know) but even a dry heat 94 here is enough to keep me in til evening when it cools off some for yard work. You're a phenom. xoxo Linda

I can relate to the needing of rain, but we are also hoping it stays out just a bit longer so we can get the landscaping finished. They are putting in rock as I write.

Hope you got some of the rain we got today. Only bad thing about it is I can see the grass and weeds growing in ernest now.
