Enter Their Realm

and you pay an admission price
Where there are ants
there are ant eaters
many ant eaters
When I finished clearing what I thought needed clearing I built a sanctuary in the same area with all their occupation requirements. Bon appetit, my precious bug eaters.

Love that you created a sanctuary for the precious bug eaters; another way to keep the bugs down without poisonous sprays and powders!

so are you nuts or what to take time to photograph your hand coveed in ants or even someone else hand covered in ants. love the bug eaters but not the bugs they eat...

With that many ants, I'd create a sanctuary for the bug eaters as well.

Goodness I would be tempted to import assassins to cut down that population. Sure hope they weren't biting ants.
You are smart to build sanctuaries. They will come.

So you are making a good home for the bug eaters? That is a great idea! They are cute, too! I love the bugged eyes on the frog, and the little orange spots on the last one; is that a skink?

All so cute! And hard working with big appetites :)

Really glad you don't have fire ants there! I hope they never show up.

Hope you all have a wonderful, blessed week, Gail!

I know the feeling. I picked up an old mailbox with post attached out of a pile of junk and picked up an handful of stinging ants. Ouch.

I've gotta catch up with your posts.

Gail,

Now that's enough ants to get me to stop using my hands and start using a shovel. Did you get bit up?

I don't think I'd like those ants all over my arm! And yes, hail to the ant eaters!

=)

We have ant problems here and there in the yard. Every year we battle them.

I remember the fire ants in Texas when I was a kid. They are the stuff of nightmares!

I love waterdogs. Awesome!

I have a couple of green garden snakes and a few frogs living in my back flower garden and I keep it cool and clean just for them. They seem to like it here as have been for some time now. I even have a salamander under the big rock pile. Wow, those ants are really biting you. I am guessing you are not allergic. Cheers.
