June Third Forty-Four Years Ago

I began a roller coaster ride and it's been going ever since.
Amazing that anyone could put up with me that long!
It hasn't always been roses.
Hubby will agree.
There have been a few bugs
but it's been a helluva ride!
Happy Anniversary, dear hubby.
You are my life.

Happy happy happy anniversary. Anyone that would say they have not had any bugs or bumps would be lying. Marriage is nothing but bumps and heavy rides. The fact you have been together this long is a wonderful thing. Enjoy your day

Happy Happy Anniversary! I hope you both have a very special and memorable day! We have you beat by a couple years. The color of your roses is the palest delicate pink! And the sweet little ladybug...you know how to find hidden beauty.

June 3rd is my first husband's birthday...I rang him yesterday to wish him a Happy Birthday...I always do ring him on his birthday, and he always rings me on mine, too. We telephone on each other's birthdays and at Christmas. Jackie his wife never minds...and when she answered the phone yesterday she said she knew it would be me on the other end. :)

That's how life should be, I reckon.

Happy Anniversary for the 3rd June to you both, Gail. :)

Congratulations from a first-time dropper-inner---this was a fabulous tale of romance, and kindled some fond memories of those drive-ins and icy Cokes in the Summertime parking lots of Dairy Queen and Sonic. And we could WALK HOME in the dark, in those days--quite a few years before your courting days.

I've enjoyed this so much, and also the HOW WE MET story from the little frame at the bottom. What a simple, wonderful, innocent world of our teens in those small towns (was just telling DH Chris yesterday of a pop fly I'd caught during a hot Sunday afternoon ballgame, as it came to me so unexpectedly, and dropped right into my uplifted hand, with everybody going wild over the "great catch." Surprised ME, I can tell you, for I was just there playing sub with my teenagers).

Sounds as if you and he are a perfect match. I wish you another Forty-Four and then some!

Wow. I don't know many who have been married longer than I have, but you have me beat.

Life in general is full of ups and downs, married life is no different. But some people can make it work. They're the lucky ones, I think.
