Love that 5th picture down - the one that looks fuzzy! I've never seen a sunflower like that. Nice pictures!

I want sunflowers! Not sure how they'd do with our wind, but our new place isn't quite as windy as the old one.... so... next year!
We do have some sort of sunflower/black-eyed susan weed that grows along the sides of the road right now. They are really pretty, but I think they are on the noxious weed list :(

I do like sunflowers a lot, so you picked my favorite flower. I don't eat the seeds, I just like to look at them. They are so impressive.

I love sunflowers! We use to plant them every year when we lived in a different house that had a beautiful yard. My kids would always pick a sunflower to enter in the county fair each year. One year my son won grand champion with his and my daughter won reserve champion with hers!

Great shots!

Now, THAT is something to celebrate!

=)

PS. My daughter's favorite flower, by the way.

Haha. Awesome. Do you dry your own sunflower seeds for eating? I can't remember. If so, how do you do it? Do you harvest the heads and then let them dry somewhere to keep the birds from stealing them all?

Hope you're all having a great week!
