Izard County Fair Talent Show

Jake and Andrew
Jake, Andrew and Melissa
Contestants in the dressing room
and my daughters in the crowd.
Zander, the youngest grandson, having trouble waiting
The performance
All winners from vocalist, instrumental and dance.

It was an exciting night except for the fact I had to put on real clothes.  This win allows the contestants to compete at state level.  I guess we'll be going to the state capitol in the fall.

I actually had a multiple win tonight...both daughters, hubby, BIL, SIL, and all three grandsons were there.  Andrew won first place in his division.  Shadow (Five O'Clock Shadow At The Farm) also won tonight in the miniature horse division.  We gifted Shadow as a filly to an amazing young lady a few years ago so she would have a horse for 4H.  They are still showing and still winning.

What a perfect night!

Sounds like a wonderful time with the family. That was really nice of you to give Shadow to the young girl and she's obviously enjoying him!

Is that your grandson in the lime green, slouching down? Cute!

I am so excited for Andrew. In high school (for me) that would have been a dream to get to play at a fair and go onto the state fair. Yay for him.

PS. Always fun when family members (horses, too) win!

Hi Gail. I know just what you mean, it always puts a bit of a damper on things when you have to wear proper clothes!

Congratulations on both wins! Awesome that Andrew on first in his division! Can't wait to hear about the state competition in the fall! =)

How wonderful that you gifted a horse to the young lady in 4-H. I am the Program Manager for our County 4-H program and it is such a worth while youth program! I love all of "my" 4-H kids and watching them grow, learn and expand their knowledge from year to year. Of course my daugher and Gizmoe are competing in 4-H horse this year, so we have a big soft spot for the 4-H horse program at the moment...lol.
