a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Sunday Excitement...

The clouds rolled in.  We could hear the roar. The turkey vultures left their roost. Sirens were screaming, Tornado!  The early warning phone system called us robotic-ally.  It was a strong wall cloud holding the chance for danger but it never hit the ground.
We had hail
We had rain, lots of it, all at once.
The storm watchers waited on the basements steps..
As we watched the rain deepen.
The REAL storm watcher gave us an "All clear!"
We left the basement as Hubby began to redirect the water
with the Kubota.

Wow what a storm. I am glad you have a basement. When my Dad first moved to Oklahoma his was filled with water. We went back there and pumped the water out of it and got it ready for him to take cover in. It is such a relief to me when there is a place to go to in a tornado. It seems late in the year for them to be around.

Gail,

The weather was terrible, temperatures dropped dramatically. Then it cruised toward your area. I'm so happy to hear everyone is okay and the tornadoes didn't come down.

Sounds a lot like what we got here. There were tornado warnings South of us.
Glad to know you're all okay, Gail!
