Very cool- the last time I went there was a man over on the far side who had set up what almost looked like a camp..he was a SERIOUS diamond digger! :)

It almost looks like a carousel. What was it used for, do you think? I didn’t realize the sheer size of it until I looked at the background. Thank god we have safer, more modern mining equipment today. My grandfather was a miner, and I always felt nervous as a little girl when I heard he’d be going underground.
