A Wise Crow

The crow warned him
"Do not give your heart"

"She's mad but she's magic"
the poor lost soul replied

His slate wiped clean
by opiates shared

He was buried beneath the tree
as she escaped by air

This makes me think of Edgar Allen Poe.

That's almost like stumbling into a conversation. Each couplet sparks different ideas.

I agree with Liza, shades of Poe here today

A female pusher, and 'she's more.' Quick and dirty, a nice read, Gail.

I like that line- She's mad but she's magic - nicely incorporated into your poem.

Pretty cool response to this prompt. And I agree with others that there are elements of Poe here. Not surprising, considering your "dark side."

It's creepy and has a melancholy feel but so well written and illustrated by the photos.
