Junior with reflection and Ki-Anne explores the opposite bank.
I ditch the shoes to feel the power from the ground and the water.
Difficult to read JR's mind
but I know Lil is considering this log for it's possibilities of becoming her stick.
The water slows but the moss still grows
A Parchment of Leaves by Silas House says, "God's Creek was a pretty place that held noise within its closeness like a voice in a cupped hand." I listened to the beauty in the noise and though our creek or branch has no name, it is plainly God's Creek.
The water bugs danced in celebration.

Sometimes it's just so nice to go out and explore with your beloved. :)
Anyone who's never walked a creek has led a deprived life.
Wonderful post and photos , I would love to have a creak on our property we have a river steps away but its banks are forested and full of bugs that drive every thing away and it is a deep river and move a bit to fast for Miggs to swim in . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day and Happy Summer !
That looks nice and peacful.
Really great shots.
So long as there are no water moccasins dancing.
We had lovely rain here on Sunday...and lots of it.
Since Friday until this morning - Tuesday morning I was having computer problems, so I'm now just catching up with reading blogs. :)
I love your quote! That stick may look a bit too big for her! So peaceful and pretty! I bet the dogs just love these walks with you!
that quote about the creek says exactly what i would say about the creek we lived on i KY if i had the talent to think of it.. and i just love Ki-Anne hiding in the grass in the creek... you know i love all the dog pics and love them lots... i would be wading in that creek minus shoes to
Hello, wonderful shots of your cute dogs and the creek. I love the quote. The water bugs is a neat capture. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day and week ahead!
I wish I had a cool creek close to my house...the nearest is in the woods and far too snaky. Every time you post or mention the creek, I remember what fun I had when I was a child...walking in the cool water with my shoes off, and catching crawdads. Have a great day, Gail!
A beautiful place!! I think I would live there.
I'll send you a paddle! Hehehe, what a fun day out in the heart of nature!
Lovely. Makes me want to go walk the river walk here.

In all this heat, Lil has the right idea. Did she leave room for you?
There's a creek here too, but it's been a long time since it was filled with water. Your creek is just beautiful.
I could easily spend all day there, Gail. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Lovely post with some great photo's.
I like the shadow in your first shot ...
Your creek does look a peaceful pace.
All the best Jan
I love Silas House and Parchment is a favorite book of mine. Lovely shots.
It's so amazing to experience this gift from Mother Nature.
Enjoy!
What a great spot to relax and meditate - so pretty!
I think I finally " get" the toss off the shoes, bare foot thingy . . .
I think it must be quite refreshing!
Happy toes/feet day!
