Let It Snow!

Ice coated wire against the sky by Marcy
A Sunday morning walk with dogs...
Silly me, two pairs of socks, leg warmers, some wonderful warm mittens and clothes in layers did not keep out the cold.  The sun deceived me.  The crystals of ice reflected the sun.  Did I tell you, it was cold?
Too much snow for me!
How deep in your snow?
Ours is dog deep!

The snow here has been too deep for our dog Maggie. Yesterday we did manage to find a trail that had already been walked on with snow shoes. That combined with the fact that it is starting to crust up because of the cold temperatures, we were able to hike this short trail with her. She really enjoyed the change from the roadside edge!
Your photos with the dogs are very nice. Stay warm!

Such beautiful snowy scenery. We lost a lot of snow when we had so much rain last week. We still have several inches but there's hardly anything in the valleys.

I was wondering if you received the snowy weather they were talking about on all the weather forecasts. Well, I need not wonder anymore, I see you got your fair share. We are suppose to get one to three inches of fresh snow today and tonight. It hasn't started yet, 3:40 p.m. so maybe the weather forecast was wrong. Anyway your ice and snow pictures are lovely. That is the one good thing about ice and snow it is very pretty.

It looks like a 3 dog day. (as in 3 Dog Night) This saying is from years back when to keep warm they huddled with their dogs to sleep. The colder the night the more dogs you needed with you.
