a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Confession...

Okay, so my brain doesn't work as well as it used to work.  Nothing to do with being past retirement age and not able to retire...yet.  Nothing to do with hubby have two surgeries in less than four weeks.  Nothing to do with a house full of people most of the time.  Nothing to do with the heat. Nothing to do with all the things I need to do but seldom get done.  Naw, none of that is why my brain doesn't work, well, I don't think that has anything to do with it but...What was I saying?

I must confess, I joined a contest for some wonderfully beautiful pieces of jewelry.  I was one of the winners.  I received my piece of choice in my favorite color, purple.  I love it!!!  I have a hand written thank you card ready to go to the mailing address but for the life of me, I can not find the blog!!!!  Now, how crazy is that???

I wanted to thank her here with a connection to her blog and I am stumped, mindless, lost.  I am so sorry and ashamed.  The package had the real name on it...not the blog name.  Please forgive me, gifter of beautiful necklaces.  I love it!!!

...and this is why I let Marcy take most of the pictures.  Self-portraits are hard to do!  First my triple chin covered the necklace, then I was rared back so far, I looked like I was fixin' to spit, then I missed the necklace, then my eyes were shut. I discovered there was junk piled behind and my shirt was on inside out!  Forty-two pictures later, I have chosen the least worst.
Didn't see the inside out shirt til later,
the triple chins won't leave,
just enjoy the necklace and the smile, please.
This is a beautiful stone necklace with an inset cross.
In hopes of making it look better than on me,
I placed it on a vase...
then Ki-Anne modeled it for me.
Hubby thought this would hurt the giver's feelings.
If her feelings are not hurt from me being so absent minded
I don't think showing her work of art on my dog will add to it.

As soon as I find her, I PROMISE,
I will put a link in my side bar
so every one can view her beautiful wearable art.

That's just one of the things I like very much about you Gail, your humor, your honesty and the fact that you are uh....real.
Inside, outside, upside down, you are a beauty and so is the necklace.
I can't tell you how much backtracking and seek and finding I do on a daily basis....yep I understand and I love the comment, "what was I saying".

So I am still laughing not at you but our similarities. I forget everything that is why I write things down I am sure I would never be brave enough to take a photo of myself but I think you look great.
Nice necklace congrats. I am sure she will find you. B

oh, honey...it's not the heat. It's the humidity. It fills our brains with condensed cloud fluids. It's all very scientific and complicated. Eat some sherbet, sit in the dark and watch Bravo. It sucks the confusion right out of you cuz you ain't that crazy!! :>)

I have done that. Forget where something happened.
And I like stuff inside out. The seams don't itch you then.

It's a wonderful necklace, Gail. Happy Sunday! :)

The necklace is lovely, However, I'm still laughing about the inside out shirt. Was the hubby chasing you around the bedroom, before you got dressed. I couldn't help it, the computer made me type that. ROFLMBO....

Gail, we are all vulnerable so please do not feel the only one who hates her own photo. I used to refuse to wear jewelry because I thought it called attention to me and I didn't want that. I walked with my head down. I"ve become much less that way and am pretty outgoing and could give a care what people think about how I look. I thought you looked great, a happy woman wearing a beautiful piece of jewelry.
No thank yous necessary. Someone may send you the address.
Have great fun wearing that piece.
I must say KiAnne wears it well as well and perhaps when you don't have it on she can borrow. Or become a dog model for jewelry.
Blessings. B

That looks like one of the necklaces that Janet Phillips made and had posted on her blog for a giveaway. If that's the case it is janetphillips.blogspot.com and her blog name is A Farm Wife's Life
