Kinked Hose and Hand Fed Man...

This is where our day should have been spent instead of listening to people gab loudly in a quiet zone, watching nurses walk by pushing covered bodies with funny hats, and waiting for the waiting to be over.

They plumbed and found a kink in hubby's vein and unkinked it with a stint and all was well.  Over quickly and back in recovery before I went crazier than I am.  I am not a good waiter...for anything.  I'm a do it now and let's get it over.  However, since I was not a surgeon or a nurse or an admitter, I was left with the waiting.

Having had happy juice pumped into his veins awhile, hubby mumbled a little, drank a Dr Pepper, talked but did not remember much until lunch. I ran to Walmart to get some for him because the kitchen did not have them (remind me to be in a hospital that has DPs).  When I showed back up, he thought I had gone home.

There his lunch sat twelve feet away for a man who cannot sit up yet...I rolled it over and fed him like a little boy.  He cleaned his plate except for the green beans so he was allowed dessert...angel food cake.  He should be home tomorrow if the nurses have no reason to press charges by morning.

The lake was beautiful as I passed by on my way home to boys and a messy house and still with a toothache...but hubby's plumbing has been inspected, repaired and approved so all is good.
Thank you for your prayers.

Gail, what did he actually have done? Sounds like Kurt's double bypass. I'm glad he's on the mend. You sure can tell you take good care of him and my heart welled up when he was surprised you were back with the Dr. Pepper. A simple little thing like that really showed how much you love him.

That made me mad that his food was across the room. These hospitals!

Well done on the writing.

I'm very happy to hear that he's doing well and that you were there to take good care of him, with a Dr Pepper even. Bless you. I hope he gets released when it's his good time and all is well. No need to push this. Let him rest as much as possible.

Now, about that toothache...

Yikes! Glad he is on the mend. I hate waiting too. I'm not a good patient and I'm really bad at waiting results of surgery for family.

I'm glad everything turned out OK. What a scare for you guys... probably harder for you w/o 'happy juice'!

I was at the dentist with my hubby yesterday where he got the start of a root canal on what was thought to be a good tooth.

Sorry I missed yesterday's post, but you are all in my prayers every day. I am so glad to hear that your hubby is improving.

*hugs* ♥
I hope today is a good one for you all.
