My Second Job and Rumors

My extra horse things are on the sale block.  My horses are gone so why not share with others?  I heard yesterday, the price of horses is rising...standard procedure...the market's been down for years.  I give mine away, the price goes up.

I've heard, don't know how true it is, I had no heart to research, that the BLM is spending a lot of money (three thousand a day) to feed the unadoptable mustangs that normally would have gone to slaughter.  Obama (not alone, of course)  has approved a contract with two slaughter houses.  At least, for the horse people who sell grade, the prices will begin to rise.

It is good to know mine are in a place where this will never be an option.
The old, vintage, antique and unwanted are in Toni's building to sell.  The whole darn family is cleaning house.
So if you're driving by, come on in and have a conversation with me and a visit to our past.  You may have to wake me up, 'cause I'm very tired.
Treasures are in every nook and cranny and it's a buyer's market.

I was shocked that horse slaughterhouses were made legal. I grew up in the west where horses run wild. I really should downsize some more, but it's hard to let go. Have a restful day.

It all looks nice and the slaughter house thing just makes me sick. I hope you get to rest today.

Exactly what I was thinking. The price of horses may have gone up, but yours couldn't be in a better place.

*hugs*

Hope you make a lot of money today! ♥

Oh how my wife would want that china cabinet(?), but since she would probably throw me out in the yard to make room for it in the house, I hope you don't mind if I refrain from telling her about it.

Oh Gail! I have been so self absorbed since my loss of Maggie, I have not kept up with everybody. Your life has changed so.
My new pony is in training a bit far from home. She is an older broodmare with dental and hoof neglect. Apathy? Economic hardship? Though she is far and I cannot see her enough to become attached, I am providing the care I would wish on a 16 year old girl that I loved and had to give up. I am caring for her with the love I had for Maggie and Janow. Life is hard and beautiful.

I am happy your horses are safe TOO! Love the Irish, Shamrock looking plate/bowl. Any more info? I wish you weren't so far away OR I wish I was closer . . . smile!

Because I am a sentimental old fool, I hope you hang on to a few horse things as keepsakes. It has been a difficult time for you. One day you will treasure them and remember with happiness instead of the sadness of the past few weeks.

It would be interesting to walk around in your shop and to see what you were all getting rid of. Chocolate donuts sound enticing too.

I am also glad to know your horses are safe. Good idea to sell the horse things, I should have sold some of mine too. Because I do not ride horses anymore and only have a Shetland pony I have a lot of horse things I do not use. I think some of them is hard to let go...

I wish I could come down there and browse and share the donuts! I'd bring the coffee...but alas...

I am so glad that your horses are where they can help kids to have a better tomorrow. Such a great thing for them!

Get some rest when you can...
