Sometimes I Do Strange Things....

Just for the hell of it!  This is my new yard side table.  A throwaway Freon tank painted with a top is now a handy place to sit my glass. Acrylic paint with a spray sealer makes it weather proof.
I know, I know...rotten wood.  I just could not throw it away so screwed it together attached a flag sewn from an old pair of swim trunks and called it art.  It is the perfect size for store bought lawn flags but why do I need store bought when I can create my own??

This also serves a second purpose.  It blocks the outside sun from a west window and makes that room much cooler.  I'm insanely brilliant!

I realize many suspected I was strange but now you have proof.
May your day be wonderful and creative.

Gail, I LOVE it all!! Especially the old tank reused. Have to share with you, I've made a snowman out of an old upright smoker pit I found on our property. He's since been disassembled, but my tin man made from old cans and such is too cute. Maybe I'll take a pic and post. My post about creativity and yours today would make a splendid blog couple!! Which...makes me wonder. Hmm. Maybe in the near future we should do some kind of creative blog hop soon! I'll put my thinking cap on and get back with you. I'm thinking a hop where we all post creative outlets, art, or anything we artsy-fartsy peeps are doing outside of our writing.

You said on my post some may call it crazy. It may be true. I think your creations are fabulous art. :)

Woman, you are a brilliant nut! Let's see what other sort of creative ideas pop into your head. Yes, this is a challenge to do your best and post all the photos. Of course, I don't do anything in return but admire them!

Creativity brings joy to the heart! I absolutely love this table, both the items repurposed and the wonderful paint job! I don't think it strange at all, both items, including the clever flag, serve a function and add a bit of whimsy. Sounds perfectly delightful to me. I've always found crazy to be very freeing, I embrace it with open arms! :-))

I like your table and your flag is just awesome.
I think that makes the best kind of yard art.
My son made a table in his room and I just love it.
He used the giant cardboard tubes that they get rolls of plastic on from his work and duct taped them and used a piece of wood for the top. It works great like you table will. I love re-purposing good things.
