Double Barrel Challenge

Bond of Union, 1956, by M. C. Escher

The Bond of Union
plays in young minds
toying with
what they see
what it could be
never clearly seeing
what it is
was
nor can be

Trying to meet the challenge from Imaginary Gardens With Real Toads combined with Tess's prompt at Magpie Tales

Clear vision is difficult to achieve in any time frame.

Goodness, how I remember being 19! You've awaken the memory-lane, and made me feel glad to older and capable of seeing just a bit further.

I remember being young and imagining the gaps in the view of whomever was my beloved at the time filled with nothing but my idealism. Very nice use of the picture prompt!

I enjoy looking back at my self and feel the pleasantness of my innocence.

I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something about this that I really love, those last three lines inparticular.

It is, I think, a good commentary on the sharply defined messiness that is love for those who's do not yet know loss. Good one.
