a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

I Have A Project...

Those who know me will know I will be obsessed.  I was going to feel sorry for myself and curl into a fetal position and wallow in self pity.  I decided I can choose to make a big deal of the unexpectedly horrible weather or I can take advantage of it. I worked inside.
Here's my saw horse substitute
with my wood
and my saw.
Bare feet in the saw dust.
Remember the measure twice cut once rule?  Well it did not work for me.  I measured many times and cut many times and even had to shave the edge.  I had a ball!!!

I tried to keep up with the saw dust.  Rolled some rugs out of the way and went to work. I used a green pencil to make my marks just because that is the one I found.
I misplaced my pencil often.
Searching for the screws changed my path.
I sorted and I won't have to dig next time.
I side tracked and added an antique purex jug to dust.
Chose some more brown bottles recently excavated
to top the old school desk.
What did I build?
That's another post
and a half day away.

Great - so you did not snuggle down in a corner with a winter blanket and now you are creating. I do know how obsessed you become with a project so work, work, work at it so we can see it accomplished. Anticipating whatever will come off that substitute horse, eh.

I think you are laying wood floors or . . .
Building a track to run your electric trains or . . .
Making a new wall so you have a private corner to curl up and hibernate until the weather changes . . .
OR . . .

i love that purex jug.. you did a great job documenting your day. waiting to see what the sawdust built... woo hoo on the screws sorted.. bob has a gallon bucket full to the top and can never find what he wants. maybe he can do this today, today is day 3 of no fly at the park due to cold wind howling.

Ha! Ha! You'd never feel sorry for yourself, and if there's a piece of wood or a can of paint- I just know you'll do something- keep moving is your middle name remember! Hehehe!

Your pencil is kind of like Grandpa's spectales? Always finds them on top of his head.
How are you Gail..you look very, very busy! You are right, you can't change the weather..kinda like spilled milk?
I brought my tiny dog in a long time ago..but he always stays on the red shelf in the family room. He can't be out in the weather.
I love those old things you have displayed. I have never seen a bleach bottle like that in my life and I'm OLD!
Enjoy!
