Rubber Booting...

is a favorite pass time of mine in winter and in water.  We've had a large rain and I could hear the creek calling me even over the sound of the rain.  Today was in the low forties so with no more excuses I pulled my boots on and went out to play.
This is a tour of three different branches.  I am not a movie maker but am just tickled that I was able to put it all together.

I had some trouble sinking in the sand. My boots were tall but some water went over the tops.  I could feel the strength of the current pulling my feet. I am energized with the joy of water.  Though the water had receded from the big rain, the power was still there.  I am refreshed and renewed.

Must be a joy to go to the source of all life, water. I go whenever I can but I have to travel quite a distance. Once again, I envy your fabulous location. I love the part...."oh sinking" slight giggle.
Made my day. Linda

How nice!! I love walking in water in my rubber boots. There is something empowering about it. I love the different sounds all of the different water makes in your video.
I am so glad you recorded your walk.

The creek is really rushing! Looks like it's raining in the first part of the video. A good pair of rubber boots is great to have around for the spring thaw here in Iowa!

this is awesome, i started smiling when i saw the tips of your boots and grinned all the way through the rest of it... i prefer the trickling sound over the roar... thanks for the tour and it flipped me back 50 plus years and I was walking in KY creeks

What a great video. You did a swell job. I loved seeing Lizzy wade across the creek - you know Cairn's love water and she doesn't seem bothered by the cold water. I loved seeing the tips of those pink boots and had a good ole belly laugh when the water crept over the top of your boots. I find too, that swimming in the Bay Of Fundy refreshes ones body and spirit. We had such a balmy December, that this morning Mother Nature is wrecking havoc with snow and ice storm. Now it is supposed to warm up and rain?? .....so, we might be back to balmy temps again by tomorrow. Who knows these days, eh :) lol n hullo to A,Z, D n of course J if he is still there n hugz to M :)

This does look exciting, Gail. We are a Winter Wonderland, now. It will be March or April before we have open water again. It is pretty, though.

You did a great job on taking this video of your creek. It's a gorgeous creek, very powerful after a nice rain. I wonder what you'll find inside the creek after the water calms a bit.

Melting snow is a powerful thing.

Over the top of your boots? Oh, so cold.

Love the view of running streams.
