The Great Viagra Problem...

A day does not pass without receiving information on how to increase my sexual prowness, how to keep my woman smiling.  I tell you, this is getting old!

I have no desire to make my woman smile, I have a man and he is still smiling.

I have blocked each one, I have deleted, I have strenthened my security and yet they pour into my inbox with amazing speed.

First, I have no need for Viagra, neither does my husband.  I have never visited any websites that would indicate I have a DESIRE for such a product.

It is HARD to stop this onslaught.  I just wish the PRICKS would stop sending these emails.

Any suggestions?

Good luck Gail. Occasionally I see a phone number to call to have your name removed from everything from email to junk mail. We get so much junk mail it's ridiculous.
If they'd save their postage they wouldn't need to sell their product.
I get letters and letters from non profits wanting money and the postage they spend is unreal trying to get me to send a dollar. I know some are good but others are out for the m oney.
Good luck with getting this stopped.
Blessings on your day and hope no ads arrive in your email or mailbox.

It gets worse as these parasites even invade some blog comments at times. In the E-mail areas I guess the only action that *may* work eventually is to send them to the SPAM folder.

If I knew how to solve this, I'd be rid of it myself. Unfortunately, I am not.

It will never stop. They want you to even dream about them. But when the time comes. For some they can be of no service. Prostate surgery can do permanent damage.

No help here, I don't know how to make them stop either and it makes me just as crazy.

At least they don't have the people sitting in two bathtubs in the middle of the woods!

These ads are really annoying and there are so many of them. I get them on TV not on my computer.

There must be a lot of sexual disfunctional people out there to warrant such an ad blitz. Guess all we can do is block them out.

Otherwise, how are things down at the farm?

Reminds me of when I worked in the urology office right after viagra was released on the market. We saw a parade of ancient men coming in to see the doctor--I could only imagine how their 90 year old wives felt about the new found vigor demonstrated in the 95 year old husbands.

I have no advice about how to get rid of your unwanted advertising. I will tell you that I don't get much on my gmail account, nor my mac account. Yahoo and wow accounts are completely different animals which is why I no longer use them.

I have the same problem and haven't been able to find a way to get rid of them.

I'll trade you my breast enhancement spams! (And as I get older they are hardly needed if they WERE desired)

In my experience, Yahoo and gmail are both pretty good at spotting those sorts of emails and putting them in the spam folder (or deleting them).

Can't say as I get many with the ISP we use for our internet, either, so I'd have to say maybe your provider needs to change their spam filter.

Sadly, that sort of email can come up with a new email every day so it will be impossible to block it all if the service you use doesn't block it first.

I do feel for you. *Hugs*

those rarely make it into my inbox. Earthlink has a good spam filter and I keep mine on high which does not let any mail through unless it is in your address book. Once a day I get a notice of 'suspect' mail which I can move to the inbox if it caught something I want to see.

rotfl! Gail, you just made my day....prick...how appropriate! I know the whole deal is annoying (for me, too), but you've managed to find some humor in it.

Thanks fot the laughs! :)

Yikes, not fun. But reading this was tons of fun. So something good has come of the nuisance. :-)

I can't stop them either...at least my SPAM folder picks them up for me to DELETE FOREVER. I also get a lot of those put this check in your account emails...yeah, right. I'm THAT stupid.

Here's what I know. You're only as protected as your email provider's spam filter is good. Spam will not be going away. (sorry) But here's some things not to do. Never reply. You may open yourself up to masses of email since you are telling that account you are a working account. Never click on it. Viruses and spyware can be lurking. Just delete.

Sorry, none of this gives you what you want...less Viagra. :)

Easiest thing to do is change your email address. Make it an unusual name or word if you switch it. The people who send out spam have computer programs that plug in thousands of possible names to any given host site (@yahoo.com, @hotmail.com, etc). If its easy to guess, you'll get tons of spam.

And Nancy is right. Gmail is very good at catching spam. It's a good one.

Is the blogger spam catcher not enabled on your blog? I used to get this sort of stuff too, but I see now that blogger traps all of them and automatically deletes them from the blog.
And here's wishing you a wonderful 2011 - free of spammers!

Gail...do you have a PC? I have an iMac and do not get any spam. It seems that you should be able to block it.

Our email provider catches them and puts them in a folder for me..which I delete. If I check it has usually 250 to 300 spams a day..most for viagra.. My yahoo one rarely gets spam.
I hate spam..I also hate those in the bath tub in the sunset commercials on TV..I find them offensive..the drug companies must make a fortune on that stuff. If men didn't go get scripts..I have a feeling that the spam would just go away..you are correct Pricks! :)

When the "Viagra" ones stop then the "extend your penis" ones begin. Trust me on this, I'm now in this stage of spam. I think I preferred the Viagra ones. Good luck and if you find the secret then please blog about it so I can learn too.
