Yup, farmers and their animals are the best for determaning the weather ! I am pretty good at it myself learning it from my father and the animals on our farm as a child ,just one of those things I inherated from good ole dad ! Great photos. Have a good day !
Oh yes they do! You ought to see a dog try to tell you an earthquake is coming :) Still love those horses of yours :D Jules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow
Country folk here always predict the weather by the animals, too...eg... Swallows flying high--good weather to come. Lots of crows flying hither and thither--windy weather on its way. Sheep grazing far up the hill--sign of good weather to come.
I have always watched the critters as they seem to know long before we do how bad a storm is going to be. I once had a hamster that predicted earthquakes. Everytime he started acting weird, we would have an earthquake within 24 hours.
Guess they have 'horse sense'...hahaha Horses in action is just magical. I noticed my cat finally 'fluffed up' this week, guess we are ready for some colder weather. Stay safe.

Wonderful photos. I saw an article where it sail over 1000 black birds fell out of the sky right before midnight . I think it was near little rock.
I've heard that animals are an excellent at anticipating weather changes. Maybe they could put a few weathermen out of work?

I believe it. You can always tell when a big storm is moving in -- just watch the critters.
Your horses are so beautiful! Did the storms contain SNOW?

It's amazing the way animals can sense when something's going to happen . . .

I do love your 'predictable' pictures. Yep, animals and children can warn ya somethings gonna give in the weather.
Great post sweetie.
Enjoy your day...I'm knockin' down Christmas!!! I'll be gentle...I promise.
God bless! :o)
I do the same thing - watch the critters when a storm is coming.

I'll pit the actions of animals and other warnings from nature against the modern equipment any day.
Have a blessed evening
I love your photos as always.
Great pictures, as always. They must feel the drop in the air pressure.
Guess they have 'horse sense'...hahaha

Your horses all look gorgeous! Hope the storms were not too bad.
I'm sure your horses are more accurate than the weatherman!
My Grandmother used to say that it was going to rain when the cows lay down.
