CIRCLING THE DRAIN
She lost her pants
When she bet the duck
Against the airplane
She didn’t really care
As she bared her behind
Only the ghost danced
Inviting her to test his couch
She had no choices
Since the world she knew
Was circling the drain.

ha...way to include all the elements in yours fun...though not when life is circling down the drain...and remind me not to bet the duck...lol....
ho ho- bad luck to bet on a duck!
I enjoed this!
Nicely done...I've felt that circling of the drain...
This is a very good Sunday, I say, reading down the posts. I think this one is high quality. Thank you. As one who is old enough now, circling the drain eventually becomes the entire deal, you know. :D
The situation is hopeless but not serious.
Whoa. I got so many different ways of looking at that---my mind was going in so many directions I think I'm going down the drain now. LOL Loads of symbolism in there.
I loved that she bet on the duck!...:)JP
Well, "bet the duck" huh! What fun!
Well done ! I guess I wont be betting a duck then lol That would scare the neighbors ! Have a good day !
Nice mag! I would have been stuck on the pantless chick!
Haha.
Good one, Gail. :o)
Hope you all have a wonderful week. ♥
More complex than it seems at first reading. Most people bet their shirts rather than their pants, but when life's going down the plug-hole . . why not?
What a predicamant to be in when your life is circling the drain. Nicely done.
What an imagination you have! I like how you tie all the images together!
This is great! (and you kept it clean ...)
Gambling's been the ruin of many a young life . . . ;-)
So glad you found me..now I've got you and your very enigmatic, satisfying trip!!
How sad when life is going down the drain and the choices left to you are bad and worse. Life spiralling out of control seems scary. Thank you for sharing this, Gail. =D
Bad bet but fine words.
Anna :o]
how silly of her to make that bet, so now she has to live her life looking silly on that painting! Cool read!
Thanks for warning me about the duck. Circling the drain is a fate I'd rather not have. I am curious about the ghost's couch though. Was he a producer?
Gail, you are hilarious. The first thing I thought when I saw this piece was, "Hm, she has no pants."
Loved your idea and the meanings you gave to your words.
