a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Closer Than I Was...

I know I scared y'all when I showed you my new color in the guest room.  Well, I have been working away with help from Hubby and Andrew.
Doesn't look so pink now.
I have painted, caulked, fell down, and
persevered.
I made matching curtains by using a cloth shower curtain.
Cheaper than material and had enough in the valance
to cut and sew two sets of smaller curtains.
My little inset which will hold a compter,
some cardboard art
and a cheetah I painted for my MIL 20 years ago.
Kinda matches my favorite flower.
And I'm not finished yet!

I want to say wonderful things about this room, Gail, but I really don't like it. You did a great job on the work itself and I admire you a lot for that. You are a very handy and persistant woman but I sure as heck don't like your choice of colors. It looks like a boudoir. xox

This is truly lovely Gail! I've used shower curtain fabric before too, much more economical and the ones you chose are so light and airy! Anyone would love staying in this room, and a great place for your creative writing corner too!

Everytime I see a colorful room, I tell my husband, "she must be an artist". Pink is up there on my favorite.

Whenever I paint a room a color that is not within the "usual" range of hues, it always looks so much more "normal" once I get everything in the room. I'm sure you are going to be very pleased with this!
