a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Monday Afternoon....

and I'm just now posting!  What in the world is wrong with me?  Wellll, hold onto your hats 'cause this is really scary.  I have no idea what's happened.
I've been deep cleaning for three days!
I have cleaners and rags to prove it.
I have an empty sink which is a rarity with a teenager and a man in the house.  This handy dandy item from Marcy helps you use those tiny slivers of hand soap.  Place in a jar, add water, instant liquid soap.  No molds to shape the soap, no recipes, no cooking in a big black kettle over an open fire.  Just soap and water with a dispenser.  Easy Peasy!
It's that time of year that I TRY to clean/oil the wooden walls. I have been behind on jobs just because of life in general or I've been lazy, you choose.  For every one thing you move it requires moving something else.  Easel, paints and play canvas are not supposedto be here!  Back to the craft room with you.
I did get outside once to view sunrise through the colorful trees.  I believe fall is here.  I have to get back to work.  Got another room to paint. Alignment for Blogger is not cooperating.  Can't be lolly gagging around.
...miles to go before I sleep.

I'm on a break too...., so decided to read and post on blogger.
I love your idea with the small pieces of soap. I hate dealing with the little pieces and now, I'm just going to throw them in the jar with some water, thanks for sharing.

Back cleaning I see, yes....we women never stop cleaning.
Don't work to hard. I will catch you later, I'm off making freezer food.

Me too on the cleaning. Fall keeps bugging me to get busy. So I started it this weekend and now my back is out. I think I'm super(stupid)woman.

When the seasons shift from summer to winter and from winter back to summer, I like to clean! Spring cleaning and getting rid of stuff. Fall organizing and preparing. The rhythm of the seasons.

Gail, you are a women on a mission. I tend to deep clean more in the fall than spring, must be preparing my nest for winter...I noticed the painting with sculls, is this your work? very nice. Greetings, Julie.

I think us women are smart cause who the heck wants to get deep cleaning in the heat of the summer , that's why we choose this time of year where we can clean in comfort and cool fresh air. You go girl ! Nice photos . Good idea for the soap ! I use liquid hand soap I buy from the dollar store in my kitchen bathrooms and yes the laundry/mud room as I have a sink in there as well. Have a good day !

Now see, I have some bits and pieces of soap right now. I need to find me a jar like that so I can do what you do.

Thanks for the great post, Gail!

And see, it's Monday night and I'm just getting started. ;o)

you go girl and when you are done, come on down, i could use some elbow grease and get up and go since mine has got up and gone. mother used to keep a plastic dish detergent bottle and put the chips in it with water and we used it to wash our hands in the bathroom. we were so poor nothing was thrown away
