The Mag 154

Central Library, Manchester, U.K., by Robin Gosnall
What creations topped the columns
For everyone to see
Could it be angels
Or is it dragons
Guarding their wordy lair
It could be alien leaders
That often touched our world
Or it could simply be
Beautiful architectural swirls.

Wow how would you like to work off those scaffolds. Never guess I am afraid of heights. Gave me the willies : )

Nice tribute to details. When I went to Newport, the architectural flair on the mansions was so ornate...that European influence on the Vanderbilt place!...:)JP

Art is so often the meanings we see. Great reflections.

You did very well here. I have nothing to offer for that photo, and am so disappointed. I hope to next time!

I like the idea that it's dragons. If I was a dragon my hoard would be a library :) I love it.

Architectural details release our own fantasies and make us aware of all the things we know and have picked up along the way in life. We each are cornucopias of little treasures.

Or little gremlins, maybe.
Good work, Gail!
