Not our cattle!
Less than two hundreds yards away.
All I had to do was holler "Yaw!"
and the dogs rolled out to do their duty.
Poor Hubby chased after the cattle in the pouring rain.
The dogs and Hubby got them turned and headed back out.
Sorry for the poor pictures.
I wasn't risking my camera.
All zoomed on a point and shoot.
Hubby back in.
Good dogs fed.
Strange cattle off our property
and hopefully headed to their home.

Oh I hate when that happens:) B
WOW, the rain was really coming down, Eh. Nice looking cattle - wet job for hubby, dogs and by the looks of that rain, good thing you didn't get it wet. Gail, you should invest in all weather camera, cause you're out in all weather, right! Have a great day.
Hubby and dogs had an adventure...in the rain..
Best thing maybe . . . you are getting some rsin?
Yep that's my life! Somebody's cattle are going to get out, be it yours or the neighbors. More than likely on the road. And ALWAYS when it rains or you are dressed up nice to go somewhere and in a hurry and don't have time to chase them.
your have such good working dogs and good working hubby. i am impressed with all of them working in the rain... i like those last two photos
I used to hate that. It was usually when I needed to be some place else.
Quite the adventure though ! Never a dull moment on a farm as I remember lol! Nice photos ! It is raining here today but the weekend was amazingly warm and sunny ! Spring is here ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
I used to come home from work and find a neighbor's bull calmly grazing in our yard. I never did understand why the grass was always greener in our yard... and why he chose to jump a cattle guard to get to it!
i hate to see loose cattle - on my place or anywhere!
Does that happen a lot?
Brings back memories of my grandfather's place. I would save my camera too, these are perfect photos!
It's always something. I'm glad yours are safe. Hope the rogue cattle are, too.
Always a pain to herd cattle ... especially in the rain! Glad all went well.
We frequently had hogs get out and oh, how I hated that. Neighbors were always good to help when the hogs took to the country road. But chasing hogs through a corn field or brush, grrr. how I hated that (as a child).
Can't say I've ever had a problem with trespassing cattle!
;)
Didn't you know cattle only get out when it's raining ?? At least that's the way it is around our place !!
Blessings
Marilyn
I'm sure those cows thought your pasture was "greener." Glad everyone got headed in the right direction again. That rain looks like it was really coming down!
