a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Cock Fights, Football Training, Spring Blossoms and Tails...

Spring is in the air and seems to bring out the party in the animals around here.  Hens setting, roosters jousting to impress the ladies.
Dogs wondering when football begins.  There is a full summer schedule of weight lifting, scrimmaging and young men being yelled at by coaches.  June is the free month.
I dare not count the footballs that have reached this condition.
The fruit trees begin to set their fruit
and the tulips give their last hurrah
The poor fox squirrel hugs the Pecan tree hiding from the dogs.

We leave today for another session with the heart guys
to see if we qualify for the "list"
I fear my mouth may get me in trouble
because the team I've met hasn't been
some one I'd bake cookies with.
And that is the end of our farm tails today.

Oh Gail you made me smile today. Good luck at the meeting. You don't have to bake with them if you don't want to but they probably know what they are doing. HUGS B

Hi Gail - Hope everything goes well at the meeting with the TEAM - sometimes those fellas that might not be the ones you want to bake with might just surprise you at the end of their spectrum - keep us informed - thinking about you. lol

Gail,

I hope all goes well for you and Dennis at the doctors meeting today. Prayers being sent for the both of you.

Love your pictures of the animals and flowers. My favorite, your dog with the football in her mouth.

I will keep you both in my prayers. I loved all of the photos.
I like that, " not someone I would bake cookies with." I have to remember that phrase. It is just so distinct in the phrasing.

well, I too hope the meeting with the team goes well. yep spring is here. the turtle has learned that the ramp that takes her out of the pond also takes her back into it. she's been in and out like a kid with a new toy.

But isn't that what footballs are designed for?

What a great post. I chuckled at the fate of the football and that "tales" of the cats.

And I oohed and aahed at the gorgeous flowers.

Well done.

My dad went through all the "heart stuff"... I know about this.

I can't keep my mouth shut with doctors either.

You might want to rethink the cookie bit. If you brought some, it might influence the decision. Hope it goes well.

I am so far behind with reading blogs and commenting, and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate you keeping up with my A-Z posts!

This was a great post, full of wonderful farm photos... especially the roosters, and the tail end! :-)

Will be sending prayers your way for a good outcome at the meeting, and for you to be your sweet, charming self... but go ahead and kick some tail if it's needed!:-)

Love you much, email headed your way in the next day or so!

Great post, Gail.
We have a squirrel nesting in the magnolia tree. It has trimmed branches, and torn pieces out of a cargo strap until it was chewed almost all the way through.
Don't know if we'll see babies, but it must be an interesting nest.
Hope you all have a blessed week, Gail. ♥

I thought that squirrel was sunning itself, but I can see hiding from the dogs would fit better. Looks like spring has really sprung for you guys! The fruit trees here budded out and then got hit with a nasty freeze. Doubt there will be much fruit this year. Cute kitty tails!
