Hope of Spring

Winter's cold-blooded coils
tighten
chilling me to the bone
I peer from inside
my carefully donned layers
Remembering Spring
I smile

Winter in cold climates is definitely a time to look forward to spring. Thanks for posting and visiting my blog.

Can't wait for sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee weather. Well said.

It is also easier to see the spring in winter by looking past the veil of snow, and more towards the colorful verdant green underneath.

Thank goodness one can always remember that spring WILL come once again!

To bear the brunt of long winters it does help to have a good memory!

To Spring then! May it happen upon us all, warming our hearts and setting our souls at ease.

Spring! Ha! Ha! HA! In my world, I've been hoping and praying for even just a hint of sunshine. Finally today, it burst through. Briefly of course. AND- Don't ask me about how our temps dropped a lot and the wind is still blowing! Your poem offers hope though!

Got my first seed catalog last week--a true sign that Spring is coming and time for dreaming is here.

Today movers pack up my son's boxes and take them away. He will turn in his key. A hired housecleaner will clean the apt. And off he goes to stay at friends until he leaves on Sunday.

Now about that snow...pray that the NY and Chicago airports stay open.

I love this one. I think it is one poem we can all empathise with at the moment.

Lovely! I remember winters like that though I live in a milder climate now. The thought of spring still makes me smile though...
