my dad would be eating those cat fish, he loved them, to me they were nasty tasting but he cooked them and he and mother chowed down on them. one of those would make a good meal. i have no idea what haiku is and i see Gwen is a haiku freak. i am off to define this word
I think I'll have to do a little research on a Haiku...wouldn't ever admit that I'm not 100% sure what it is (but I do have a general idea.) I may join you on one of these one day.

A big catfish dinner plate and one turtle for soup in that lake.

I know I'd be cautious around catfish! They are quite the site -
I am no critique of Haiku . . . but I like all of your poetic creating! Are the catfish swimming in the pond, water near you?
the undulating fishes.. love that
This is exquisite..Catfish shed winter...
Catfish is gooood eating. It has a sweet taste, and Mom rolled it in corn meal, cooked in oil. My mouth waters just thinking about it.
Oh, I like very much!
Never considered catfish shedding winter but makes complete sense. Love your haiku and pictures of the fishies!
... and can they eat
How do they shed winter? I've never saeen one before so your pics are also great.
Yikes! I must admit catfish aren't my favorites; though, I do like you verse.
Nicely, done! Are they yours?

"Undulating shapes of gray" love that! Great haiku
my 14 year old would be baiting his hook if he saw those fish ~
