But I know there's a set of stairs around here! Great sense of downward- great poetry again!

I have had to lose control many times before I could take control again....and do we really ever have control! I wonder? Fabulous poem Gail!

That swirl is a dance... a control well lost.

I can feel that downward spiral. Thankfully, our spirits most long to rise, so we bounce back up again....like rising bread! Smiles.

You will gain control again. Your power is needed and welcomed in the universe. Indeed, we sometimes lose control...but we rise and take it back. Survivors do.

Recognizing that one is in a downward spiral is perhaps the first step to changing direction and momentum...

Going downwards and feeling nice about it! Change and adjust to maintain stability certainly!

Still, it's a scary moment in the free-fall. I think that's why so few of us enter the gyre with Gerard Manley Hopkin's Hawk however much we wish to. Gorgeous poem! It makes me think of taking risks of life or death.

I love the quote and the images condensed and made your own - for me the most poignant line was toy..sometimes the memory of how that helped you through aches - you want it back because it made things seem a little better

Sometimes that downward spiral contains just enough heat to get one moving in another direction,

Don't let the spiral win . . .

Living is kind of cyclical, isn't it? The losing then retaking of control is something that resonates with me. Sometimes I think one way I began to retake that control is through writing.
