My ice art forms in my dog's outdoor water dish on the back porch. A few times a day we bring it in and run water over the ice and watch how it bubbles up in the openings between the ice layers. It bloops and blops with sound and then the main piece lets go of the sides. That is when it is ready for our girl to grab the ice out of it and crunch it up like we had just served her a yummy cocktail. I know it is bad for her teeth but she is old so she gets what she wants.
