The Last Calf

A late season calf, Mama was not willing to share.

The only white face Gelbvieh we have.
The little bull's markings are very unique but Mama's keeping him safe.

All the ladies circle around and keep the humans away.

He is doing wonderful and is certainly protected.
I shall get that head shot soon, to show his beautiful white face.

Ya, those mama cows stick together to protect their youngens'. The babies are soooo cute! Too bad we humans don't have as good of support system. It still amazes me how they choose a sitter for the day to watch over the babes while the others freely graze.

You have yourself one terrific day down on the farm!!!

God bless :o)

I love calves! They are so cute. About a month ago, our neighbor had a bunch born. He had one that always frowned at us.
