a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

We Laugh Together

It is nice to have an extra driver so you can send someone else to pick up what you need in town.

I carefully made a list of things we could not live without until my standard grocery run.  I was careful to make it clear, the size of package etc.  I had a coupon for twenty-five cents off Charmin Toilet Paper so I wrote on the list 24 Double Roll to indicate the size of package to which the coupon applied.  The rest of the list was standard items Andrew was familiar with, no special orders.

Andrew carried in the groceries and gave me the ticket.  I saw a price on the list I did not order nor could identify.  It just said Deli with the price.  I asked what did you find at the Deli?

HE SAID, "THE LIST SAID TWENTY-FOUR ROLLS BUT I ONLY GOT THE TWELVE PACK"

I explained that I had written the toilet paper description for the coupon.  He said he thought the coupon was the reminder and it wasn't on the list!  Oh, how we laughed.

We enjoyed our fresh deli double rolls with homemade beef stew for supper and have the bathroom situation covered too!

Thanks, Andrew, for saving me a trip to town.  He graduates high school this year and we grow old.

Haha, why do boys always do that, they have their own interpretation of everything.
Andrew has grown into a fine young man.

Best smile-generator of the day! You asked for rolls, you got rolls! :-)) Glad you had enough of the other kind to make do.

Too funny, that's something my 25 year old daughter still does and, yes, we laugh! The animal shelter benefitted when she brought back three big bags of cat food last year...

Great laugh . . . good old Andrew . . . He had those ROLLS covered.

I had to take one of my Irish Wool sweaters to the dry cleaners today.
I never risk washing them since I had one disaster.
Jack has some wool sweaters from Ireland too and I have reminded him, "dry cleaners!"
He asked me to pick up a sweater for him today.

I LAUGHED OUT LOUD . . .
He took one of his light weight cotton sweaters to the cleaners.

I have washed that sweater many times . . .
He thought it was wool, I guess!

Oh my . . .

Never send a man (or a man in training) to do a woman's job. What IS a woman's job you ask? Just about everything lol.

First, Congratulations, Andrew!

Second, you grow 'older', not old. ;-)

ha,ha,ha good read. Way to go Andrew...for the laugh you brought home and congratulations on your graduation coming this year. Truly nice photo. Its quite amazing to see this young man all grown up as I remember not so long ago, he was playing about the farm like his younger siblings. You're not old Gail, you're just getting a little gray aboot the collar.
