Things Are Cold

But we are very lucky.  We do not have feet of snow or lots of rain.  The ice has formed on the water garden.  The animals come through to drink and I must remember to break the ice.  They are spoiled to the water garden since I made them a path to the water.

The fires are going and they feel good.

My latest foster dog is doing well.  Here Gentry is looking for the laser light that she chases.  Gen sits and is house trained and leash trained.  We have an application...hoping Gen gets a forever home soon.

This is one of the coldest Decembers we have had in a very long time. It's (usually) not unusual to be in the low 70s on christmas day. This year it has been consistently cold and we've even had snow.

I can't believe the weather photos today! We got a dusting of snow, but nothing much to talk about.

I hope Gen gets a furever home, too.

OH...love that white deerface!
Nice looking foster dog in gentry.
Yea, maybe our cold snap went to you...we have nice and plain ol' Oregon rain now! I'll take that over the cold...dislike the water issues ice presents for the animals.

Be well Gail~ HO HO HO!

Your water garden photo almost looks like an impressionistic painting! Cool!

Gen looks like a sweet dog. And YOU are sweet for being a volunteer to take in stray dogs. All your dogs must be nice dogs to accept these strange dogs, even for just a little while.

I'm enjoying the warmth while I can - in a couple of days we'll be in Ch-ch-chicago!

That would be awesome, if she gets a new home for Christmas. We have a good dusting of snow. Grass still show through. But it is said to be 19 deg tonight Burr. I still have to get off my butt and start shopping. Not what I want to do. But I finally feel I can get out and about. My inner critic Say's bah hum bugger. Grrr. But I have to make my self get with it.

There is nothing as nice as a cozy fire on a cold day. Sending my best hopes for Gen to be in a loving home.

Nice looking dog, looks like maybe some border collie in her. Best of luck to you Gentry on finding responsible pet lovers for parents.

Cold, I'll gladly send the below zero temps your way. This is so unusual for us to be this frigid in December, no less. January or February is when we get the coldest of temps, oh dear God, I pray, it doesn't get much colder. The older I get, the more I hate the cold!

I do, too. She deserves a loving family. What a sweetie.
I bought all 3 kidlets their own laser lights as stocking stuffers. All of our cats and dogs are going to go insane after Christmas. lol!

The fire looks lovely. There's nothing like a real log fire to keep you warm. It looks like we'll have a white Christmas here, but that's the best kind to have. There's still snow now and it's cold outside. I need to go out there, but I don't want to.
