I was proud to be an employee of the postal service for many years. I began as a PS3, to a PS5 to a letter carrier, to a supervisor to a postmaster in three different offices. I have helped in every section I was needed and I did a good job. I shall repeat, thirty-nine years is long enough.
Thursday this followed me home. The weather said it was going around but I grabbed hold of it with my mind and dragged it to the farm. I did not measure the rain. I was simply grateful it came.
Marcy has had a second opinion and is having more tests. If you will, please pray, that it can be taken care of in Mountain Home and is not major. It is a very curable cancer. Maybe with prayer and healing thoughts we can make it smaller.
Hubby's papers have been processed so maybe after two years, he may have a pay check. Talk about blessings!

Oh Gail (Congratulations?) I want to say that but I am sure you are going to miss your job but I do know there is a whole life of things yet for you to explore and I am sure that things are going to turn around."Everything for a reason" even if we do not know why.
I will be thinking of your friend Marcy and hoping things turn out well.
Congratulations Gail you are on a different road now and like those beautiful clouds you never know what treasures await. You are going to be fine. HUG B
Gail, my Mum always used to say "A door closes and a door opens" - that's just the way it is. I have believed this my whole life - Also, "What goes around - comes around" - sooooo true.
I told you it would all work out and it will and has begun. You will be OK, afterall Dorothy :)
Congratulations on your next step into ?retirement. Congratulations on 39 years well served. I am sure there will be many that will miss you and many that you will miss.
Lovely photo with the very odd storm cloud - great capture and I would expect nothing less from you honey. I am away, but just checked in and had to answer this one. Should be home early next week. Take care and ttys. Lilly
Oh how nice on your retirement! You can spend more time on the farm. The post office will no doubt miss all your hard work. Glad you got some rain. I cannot believe how dry and hot it's been everywhere. We get some rain in Grenada but, not like the usual during our rainy season. I pray Marcy will do fine and heal.
Oh, wow! Gail, that's a long time! My mom worked as a teacher for 40 years. I've got 27 years in...When I saw your clouds, I thought they were the ones we had over our mountains last weekend! Enjoy your retirement...I have about 5 more years to go! :-) Then...FREEDOM!
Congratulations Gail. After 39 years you deserve to retire. I'm sure you'll be missed. And I'm so glad you got some rain. And that for your hubby. Will keep Marcy in my prayers.

I'm praying right now for miraculous healing! And thanking God for your service to others and for retirement - may it be a pure joy to you. And praises for your husband's (maybe) paycheck. What a great day! blessings, marlene
Praying that all will be well with Marcy and hoping that you will enjoy your retirement after all these years. I have a feeling you're going to like it very much, but it does take some getting used to, as I'm sure you know.
Dave retired two weeks ago and is in the process of figuring out what to do with himself. He doesn't miss that job, though. Not for a minute. It was a stinker.
I expect you will miss yours more, because it mostly sounded as if you liked it. But the way you love that farm, I know you will be pleased to spend more time there.
=)
the mushroom cloud does not look welcome, but the rain sure was! so maybe it is like your future - scary looking, but will be okay after all... prayers for your sister...
Retirement like everything else is what you make of it. After retiring my girlfriend started her own business from home and is more successful than ever. Just be thankful that you are retiring healthy enough to enjoy it. As for Marcy tell her to keep the faith and she is in my prayers.
Welcome to the world of retirement. I hope you enjoy your time as I do mine.
